Deep Hope

“Hope, in a deep and powerful sense, is not the same as joy that things are going well, or willingness to invest in enterprises that are obviously headed for early success, but, rather, an ability to work for something because it is good, not just because it stands a chance to succeed” wrote the great Czech playwright turned dissident (then eventual president) Vaclav Havel. Please bring a flower or two to worship (whether you are coming in person or via Zoom) as we celebrate the deep hope that is the root of Easter celebrations with our annual Flower Communion ritual. Worship Leaders: Rev. Darcy Baxter, Sharon Arpoika, and Melynda Rodriguez. Tech Maestro: Adlai Frederickson.
