Here we are, preparing a meal for 120 homeless people in December 2008. We served roast turkey, cornbread stuffing, candied yams with marshmallows, home made whole-berry cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, green salad, a dinner roll and butter, milk or lemonade. We served home-baked Christmas cookies and ice cream for dessert. We did a special holiday meal in December. Our regular menu is chicken broth, rosemary roast pork tenderloin, fried rice, corn O'Brian, green salad, roll and butter, brownie, ice cream, and a piece of fruit and a bottle of water for the next day. We tweak the menu every couple of years. the exact number of homeless people changes too, as the shelter expands. You can see our current efforts on the News page, usually. We leave articles there up for six months. We do the dinners once a month when the shelter is open, November through April.
